The "114 Qur'ans" project was discussed in Madrid
Nowadays, numerous manuscripts and artifacts related to this legacy are kept in Madrid, Spain. The Chairman of the Board of WOSCU, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abduhalikov, visited this city to familiarize himself with the rare treasures and important manuscripts for the Islamic world.
The meeting with renowned Quran specialist, orientalist and paleography expert François Deroche, as well as with the head of the Kulturalis publishing house Charlotte Kramer, turned out to be particularly productive. During the talks, the concept of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and efforts to enrich museum exhibits with new materials were discussed. The "114 Qur'ans" project was also discussed, which involves publishing 114 rarest and richly decorated pages of the sacred manuscript in one facsimile album. François Deroche agreed to become the scientific coordinator of the project.
